In 1947, Eliot Dale Barton received his MBA from Columbia University. Following graduation Mr. Barton sold construction machinery and taught as a faculty member at the University of Utah School of Business. In response to a need for quality insurance and surety bonding the Dale Barton Agency was founded.

In the beginning Mr. Barton started with an army surplus desk, a typewriter, and a desire to make a difference. Since then, Mr. Barton and the Dale Barton Agency have worked to build a reputation that is known throughout the industry. While many things have changed, the Dale Barton Agency still operates with a desire to make a positive difference for its clients with integrity and the highest ethical standards.
