HISTORY
ELIOT DALE
BARTON - FOUNDER
Eliot Dale Barton received his MBA in 1947
from Columbia University.
Following graduation Mr. Barton sold construction machinery and taught as a
faculty member at the University of Utah
School of Business. In response to a need for quality insurance and surety bonding Mr.
Dale Barton founded the
Dale Barton Agency in 1948.
In the beginning Mr.
Barton started with an army
surplus desk, a typewriter, and
a desire to make a difference.
There were two employees, Mr.
and Mrs. Barton. Since
1948, Mr.
Barton and the Dale Barton
Agency have worked to build a
reputation that is known
throughout the industry.
While many things have changed, the
Dale Barton Agency still
operates with a desire to make a
positive difference for its clients.
Over the years he and the Agency have
been awarded many distinctions and
honors. Mr. Barton was appointed
Regional Vice President of the
National Association of Surety
Bond Producers, for
his interest and business acumen
in the Surety Bond Industry. Mr. Barton also received
The Service To The Industry Award, a
special distinction awarded by
the AGC of Utah.
Since 1948, the
Dale Barton
Agency has grown
considerably, but the foundation has
remained the same. Our
company's foundation continues to be
firm and solid,
serving our clients. The
Dale Barton Agency provides
insurance, surety bonding, and risk
management - cornerstones of
financial security and peace of
mind.
E. Dale Barton, age 86, passed away
on September 24, 2008.
